BBS Cables Ltd, steel building, cables, ware and conductor manufacturing company, has brought environment friendly and fire resistant FR skin coated cables for the first time in the country in order to effectively protect public life and property.
According to authority, fire resistant FR skin coated cables are pure PVC insulated color coated and fire resistant non-seeded single core cables. It is suitable for using in different sensitive places like high apartment, commercial building, hospital, school, college, university, airport, tunnel and rail station, said a press release.
Managing Director of BBS Cables Ltd Engineer Abu Noman Hawlader inaugurated the new product through a gorgeous program held at a city hotel recently.
Directors of the company Engineer Md Badrul Hasan, Engineer Hasan Morshed Chowdhury, Engineer Md Ruhul Mojid and Md Ashraf Ali Khan, Senior General Manager of Sales and Marketing Department Omar Faruk and Brand Manager Rabiul Kamal were also present.
According to sources, after fire incident general PVC incorporated cable emits poisonous black smoke with harmful hydrochloric acid. It is one of the main reasons to occur death during an accident. Hydrochloric acid also causes eye sight problem and disturbs rescue operation.
On the other hand, PVC skin coated cables have high insulation resistance facility that helps to remain oxygen index over 29 per cent. There is a less chance to leak electricity. Besides it emits less smoke and cannot spread fire. As a result, fire service men can work easily.
