After one day’s recess, the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BBPL) resumes today at the Sher-eBangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur.
Dhaka Platoon will take on Rangpur Rangers in the day’s first match, which begins at 2.00 PM, while Cumilla Warriors will face Khluna Tigers in the day’s second match, which starts at 7.00 PM.
Chattogram Challengers confirmed their play-off berth securing 16 points from 11 matches.
Dhaka Platoon and Rajshahi Royals also reached the play-off stage bagging 14 points each from their respective 10 and 11 matches.
Khulna Tigers gained 12 points from 10 matches, while Cumilla Warriors earned 10 points from 11 matches.
The match between Khulna Tigers and Cumilla Warriors is very crucial. If Khulna Tigers win over Cumilla Warriors then Khulna will reach the play-off stage.
On the other hand, if Cumilla Warriors win over Khulna Tigers, Cumilla’s hope of play-off berth will alive.
Meanwhile, Rangpur Rangers and Sylhet Thunder were out of the title race with eight and two points from their respective 11 and 12 matches.
