The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has asked banks concerned to submit details of accounts of Tejgaon Division Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Anisur Rahman and his family members.
The central financial intelligence agency of the country on Wednesday sent letters to the banks concerned asking for detailed records of transactions made with the bank accounts of Anisur, his wife Fatema-Tuz-Zohra,
daughter Nafis Tahiyat and Anisa Fatema.
Fatema-Tuz-Zohra was a member of the 10th Parliament from Sherpur and Anisur Rahman was the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Jashore mentioned in the latter .
Anisur Rahman confessed the topic and said that he did not know the real cause of the notice on bank accounts.
But, a Bangladesh Bank official said that the notice has been served as per demand of an investigation team.
