He is Amir Siraji, a freedom fighter. Besides this identity, he is also a popular film actor. He actively participated in the liberation war under the Sector No 11 in 1971.
As an actor, Amir Siraji has established his position in a position where any other actor couldn’t perform properly in such role in the film industry.
Before staring his acting career under a talent hunt contest titled Notun Mukh-er Sondhaney in 1984, Amir Siraji, hailed from Gafargaon upazila in Mymensingh, performed with 10 opra (Jatra) troupes.
When working with an opera troupe named Babul Opera in Khulna Amir Siraji first saw the advertisement of a talent hunt contest in a cine publication named Chitrali. He then applied to take part in the contest. By this way his faith changed.
After completing his graduation from Gafargaon Degree College in 1973 Amir Siraji first acted in Ibne Mizan’s a movie titled Patal Bijoy. But his acted first released movie was Matin Rahman’s Radha Krishna. It was released on January 5 in 1985. From that time to till now he has been working in the film industry with full-fledged dedication and commitment.  
In his acting career, late opera actor Kumar Bhanu Poddar was the mentor of Amir Siraji. But in the film industry, he has matured his acting skill and quality with the hands of noted actor late Golam Mustafa.
In 1991, Amir Siraji was enlisted as an actor in Bangladesh Television. But he couldn’t get the opportunity to act in TV plays most of the time. Besides acting in the commercial movies, Amir Siraji also acted in several government-grant movies. Those were: Chashi Nazrul Islam’s Megh-er Porey Megh, PA Kajol’s Mukti and Faruk’s Kaktarua.
Amir Siraji’s acted last released movie was Masum Azad’s I Am Raz. Therefore, now he is acting in Shamim Ahmed Roni’s Mental, MA Matin’s Gram-er Meye Shohor-er Pola and Omar Faruk’s Lover Boy.
“For the viewers now I have become Amir Siraji in the film industry. I want to survive with the viewers’ obligations for the last time. I want to continue acting till my death. I hope everybody will cooperate me in this regard,” Amir Siraji said this while sharing his feelings about his acting career. Now he has been living with wife Hena Siraj, two sons – Habib Siraji Babu and Fayez Siraji Dollar and two daughters – Nurjahan Siraji Bobi and Nurnahar Siraji Iti, Amir Siraji said.
