Bangladesh Bank has released a new five taka note in circulation effective from 15th June. However, the existing 5 taka denomination note already in circulation shall also remain valid and continue to be treated as legal.
The size of the note are as follows:
The front side of the note depicted with portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and back impression with Kusumba Mosjid of Naogaon. The size of the note is 116mm length and width is 60mm. Colour is brown and whole board on all 4sides are white, says a BB press release.
