Baul Abdul Jalil starts ‘Song March’ towards Rohingya camps

Vowing to raise consciousness among the people across the world against atrocities by Myanmar government force on ethnic Rohingya Muslims, 52-year old Baul Abdul has started his ‘song march’ towards Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar from Jessore on Tuesday.
Singing his own composed songs against ethnic cleansing in Myanmar, the father of two children started his journey from his own residence ‘Botanical Village’ at Basundia under Jessore sadar upazila on Tuesday morning, Jalil told Newsmen after performing another programme in front of Jessore Press Club at noon.
The Baul’s wife Afroza Sultana was present there while he was singing his self composed songs against varieties of tortures against such as killing, raping, burning houses and properties owned by Rohingyas by the Myanmar government as well as the Buddhists.
‘I cannot stay alone in Jessore after the genocide in Myanmar,’ Jalil told Newsmen, ‘I want to devote my songs as part of moral support to the Rohingyas.’
He had already composed around 20 baul song against Rohingya persecution, Jalil told newsmen.
