The quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 begin today. France will take on Uruguay in the day’s first quarter-final at Nizhny Novgord in Russia. The match kicks-off at 8.00 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time). In the day’s other quarterfinal, Brazil will face Belgium at Kazan in Russia. The match begins at 12.00 am.
On the other hand, Sweden will meet England at Samara tomorrow at 8.00 pm, while Russia will take on Croatia at Sochi tomorrow at 12.00 am.
On way to quarter-finals, France edged past Argentina by 4-3 goals in their Round of 16 match on June 30, while Uruguay beat Portugal by 2-1 goals in their Round of 16 match on the same day.
Hot favourites Brazil stormed into the quarter-final after beating Mexico by two goals to nil in their Round of 16 match on July 2.
Belgium came from behind and earned a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Japan on the knock-out phase match on the same day.
England won over Colombia by 3-2 goals in the tie-breaker of their Round of 16 match on July 3, while Sweden beat Switzerland by a solitary goal on the knock-out phase match on the same day.
