Battery-run rickshaws yet to be evicted from the city for the time being whereas these rickshaws are plying random as like as before in the city area .
In the meantime CMP police administration in a decision on Tuesday to conduct drive for evicting these rickshaws from city area from today (Thursday) but now police showing lenient role against these rickshaws due to political reasons, conscious circles observed.
While contacted the additional police commissioner of Chittagong , he refused to comment anything about the eviction of battery run rickshaws. A reliable police official sources said the decision of evicting the battery run rickshaw temporarily suspended but police administration is hesitating to apprise the matter formally .
Mentionable that these battery run rickshaws again started plying just before the CCC election after long time .
