Fed Cup Football: Bashundhara Kings move into semis

Bashundhara Kings moved into the semifinals of the Walton Federation Cup Football defeating Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited by two goals to nil in the third quarter-final match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday. Bashundhara led the first half 1-0.
Bashundhara’s Argentine recruit Besera put his team ahead by tapping the ball into the net using a cross of his teammate Brazilian Jonathon in the 10th minute of the play.
In the 42nd minute, Zahid of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club got a ball in the Bashundhara’s D-box from his teammate Uzbek Otabek but Zahid’s header went wide.
After one minute, Omar of Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club got the ball from his teammate Solomon King. Then Omar advanced with the ball and dodged past a defender of Bashundhara and then got the Bashundhara goalie Anisur Rahman alone but his shot went wide. Thus Sheikh Jamal deprived from a confirm goal.
Robinho of Bashundhara Kings sealed the fate of the match by a spectacular right-footer free-kick just one minute before the long whistle.
Today the champions of the Group-D Dhaka Abahani Limited will take on the runners-up of the Group-B Uttar Baridhara Club in the fourth quarter-final at the same venue. The match kicks-off at 4.00pm. Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the big bowl.
