Bashundhara Kings will face Dhaka Abahani Limited in their prestigious match of the TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football at Bashundhara Sports Complex in Dhaka today. The match will start at 4.00pm. Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena.
Bashundhara Kings emerged the champions of this year’s BPL Football. It is their third consecutive BPL title in a row. Bashundhara Kings grabbed 51 points from 20 matches. They clinched the title with two matches in their hand.
On the other hand, Dhaka Abahani Limited became runners-up of the football meet collecting 44 points from 20 matches.
Today’s match will be only the prestige-concern match for both of the teams.
It may be mentioned that the first round match between Bashundhara Kings and Dhaka Abahani Limited ended in a 2-2 draw at Sylhet District Stadium in Sylhet on April 3.
Tomorrow Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited will take on Swadhinata Krira Sangha at the Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj at 4.00pm, while Saif Sporting Club will meet Uttar Baridhara Club at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj at 4.00pm.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited took the fourth position bagging 34 points from 20 matches, while Swadhinata Krira Sangha remained at the bottom position (12th position) earning nine points from as many matches.
Saif Sporting Club Limited took the third position gaining 34 points from 20 matches, while Uttar Baridhara Club took the 11th position earning 14 points from as many outings.
