Bashundhara Kings have drafted Miguel Ferreira of Brazil in their squad for the upcoming second phase of the TVS Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Football. Ferreira came at the office room of Bashundhara Kings in the city to discuss with Imrul Hasan, the President of Bashundhara Kings on Sunday. Imrul Hasan handed over the jersey of Bashundhara Kings to Miguel Ferreira. Miguel Ferreira has experienced to play in the top football league of Brazil. Bashundhara Kings recruited the 21-year Brazilian footballer in the mid-term players’ transfer window of BPL Football.
Imrul Hasan said, ” Jonathon of Brazil could not finish the BPL Football due to injury. Our team played the first phase of the BPL Football without one foreign recruit. So, it was compulsory for us to recruit a foreign booter.”
Imrul said, ” We have signed an agreement with Ferreira. According to the agreement, Ferreira will play for Bashundhara Kings before ending August. Ferreira will play for Bashundhara Kings in the BPL Football and AFC Cup.”
He said, ” We shall sign another foreign footballer for BPL Football and AFC Cup. The foreign footballer will come from Brazil or Spain. Brazilian Robson Robinho and Iranian Khalid Shafiei will play for Bashundhara Kings in second phase of BPL Football and AFC Cup.”
Nigeria-born Bangladeshi Eleta Kingsley is still with Bashundhara Kings.
It may be mentioned that the footballers from Africa dominated in BPL Football earlier. But now-a-days booters from South America dominated the BPL Football.
