Students of different educational institutions of the city assembling on C&B-Nabagram-Batatala road-crossing (Chowmatha) area of the city on 11:00 AM Thursday morning expressed their solidarities with the protest movement of Dhaka-students for road safety.
They blocking the road, also a part of Barishal-Dhaka highway, protested against running unfit transports on road.
They demanding safe road communication and transportations checked driving licenses and documents of vehicles.
Some of the students becoming agitated also vandalized one pick up at that time.
A police team led by assistant police commissioner Sahanaj Begum going to the spot requested the students to end agitation for starting road transportation assuring steps for safe road communication.
Then the agitation rally ended at 12:35 pm noon amid heavy raining.
Rashidul, one of agitated students said the policy of the authourity for closing educational institution to end agitation on Thursday failed, as in spite of closing of their colleges, they are continued the peaceful agitation.
On other hand a protest program and human chain also held peacefully in front Barishal University on Barishal-Kuakata highway till noon.
