Mosaddek Hossain’s century helped Barisal Division score 302 runs against Rajshahi Division in the first innings on day one of the four-day 17th National Cricket League at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium (SKS), Rajshahi on Friday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Barisal piled the score for all in 78.3 overs with Mosaddek’s century of 122 runs off 149 balls featuring 11 fours and six sexes.
Apart from his century, Mosaddek paired with Sohag Gazi for 67 runs in 12.5 overs in the 5th wicket stand.
Barsial opening pair between Shahriar Nafees and Pinak Ghosh contributed 73 runs in 23.1 overs.
Opener Shahriar Nafees scored 75 off 132 balls with 12 fours while Sohag Gazi hit 52 off 46 balls featuring five fours and three sixes.
Sanjamul Islam grabbed six wickets for 123 runs for the side.
In reply, Rajshahi opened the first innings and were at stumps scoring 19 for 2 in 9 overs.
Opener Jahurul Islam (8 off 23) and number four batsman Nihaduzzaman (3 off 22) were batting on at the end of the day one.
Towhidul Islam and Sohag Gazi took one wicket each for the side for 5 and 9 runs respectively.
