BNP-backed candidate of Barisal sadar upazila has boycotted the polls alleging that the supporters of Awami League candidate have captured forcibly most of the polling stations. Local BNP also called a half- day hartal for Sunday in Barisal sadar upazila on charge of vote rigging. President of Barisal City BNP Mojibur Rahman Sarwar declared the polls boycotting at a press conference at his residence at 11.00am.
