Bappa Mazumder is a popular singer and music composer of the country. Many singers want to render song under his music composition. As a music director, Bappa first worked in Hasibur Reza Kollol’s movie Swotta. In this movie, under his music composition to render play-back songs, James and Momtaz got the National Film Awards. As a music composer, Bappa also got the National Film Award for the first time.
Bappa is going to work as music director again in a movie titled Bhalobasa Pritilata, which story is based on noted litterateur Selina Hossain’s novel. Pradip Ghosh will make this movie where Pritilata Waddedar’s heroic battles against British government will be presented in the story of the movie. There will be four play-back songs in the movie.
Meanwhile, Bappa also lent his voice for an original song recently. He said, “Under my own composition I have lent my voice for an original song. Though it is a revolutionary song, so many singers will lend their voices. Therefore, I am passing busy times with movie Bhalobasa Pritilata. A Tagore song and DL Roy’s two songs will also take place in the movie. In fact, I am very much delighted to get the opportunity to work as music director in a movie which will be made on historical incidents. I shall try to present something new for the viewers in the movie. However, I am also busy with several songs for my own YouTube channel.”
