UNB, Dhaka :
All the scheduled banks will remain open in 36 districts on Saturday to facilitate depositing of security money by Union Parishad (UP) election candidate for submitting their nomination papers.
A Bangladesh Bank circular, referring to a letter of the Election Commission, gave the instruction to the banks in this regard.
The central bank also asked the banks to pay due remuneration to the bank staff as per the rule for working on a holiday.
