UNB, Dhaka :
The Bangladesh Bank on Thursday issued a circular directing all the scheduled banks to keep open their
branches on Saturday in 83 upazilas of 42 districts going the elections.
The central bank issued the directives to keep the bank branches open in those selected areas with proper security for receiving treasury invoices or pay orders or bank drafts as deposit money of the upazila election candidates. The staggered fourth upazila election begins on February 19 in the first phase.
