Bangladesh Bank has asked all the banks to install security cameras in and around their branches to ensure the safety and security of their volts.
Against the backdrop of different untoward incidents in recent times, the central bank issued the directives on Monday to the banks through a circular.
The circular, issued by Banking Regulation and Policy Department
(BRPD), said the banks are being asked to set up adequate number of security cameras like CCTV, VIP cameras, spy cameras, digital video recorders (DVRs) at the entrances, inside the branches, and also outside to ensure enhanced security of the bank establishment.
