Banker among 3 put on remand over question leak case

A Dhaka court yesterday (Thursday) placed three people, including a bank official, on different terms of remand in connection with question leak of different university admissions and bank recruitment tests.
Manik Kumar Pramanik, a senior officer of Agrani Bank in Rajshahi, was placed on a three-day

remand while two of his accomplices Ripon Kumar and Md Shafiqul Islam were placed on one-day remand each.
Magistrate Md Tofazzal Hossain of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order. Earlier, Md Shahinul Islam, an Inspector of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and also the Investigation Officer of the case, produced the accused people in the court with a seven-day remand prayer for each accused.
The remand prayer says the three other accused admitted that they were involved with leaking question papers. So they need to be remanded to find out vital clues about the question leak.
