Bank official injured with brickbats

Chittagong Bureau :
One senior bank official received fatal injury yesterday morning in Chittagong city area following the hurling of brick bats by the blockade supporters of BNP-led alliance.
 The incident occurred at Chamragudam area of Chaktai under Kotwali thana at about 8 am yesterday.
 The injured bank official identified as Mojibur Rahman, first Vice President of United Commercial Bank Ltd and Manager of Dohazari branch.
Police sources said Bank official Mojibur Rahman was injured severely with hurling of brick bats by a group of blockade supporters in Chaktai area when he came out from residence on foot at about 8 am aimed at to reach the duty place .
 Local people rushed him to Chittagong Medical college hospital with critical condition and he is now under treatment at Ward No.28 of the public hospital, sources said.
