Economic Reporter :Bank Asia has declared 20pc dividend (5% bonus share and 15% cash dividend) for the year 2015 at its 17th Annual General Meeting held at Dhaka Lady’s Club in Dhaka on Monday. A. Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank presided over the meeting while its Vice Chairmen Mohd. Safwan Choudhury and A.M. Nurul Islam, Chairman of Executive Committee Rumee A. Hossain, Chairman of Audit Committee Mohammed Lakiotullah, Directors M. Irfan Syeed, Farhana Haq Chowdhury, Md. Shahajahan Bhuiyan, Shah Md. Nurul Alam, Mashiur Rahman and Managing Director Md. Mehmood Husain and Additional Managing Directors Aminul Islam and Md. Arfan Ali were present.There was a large turnout of the shareholders in the annual general meeting. They expressed satisfaction at the overall performance of the Bank and approved the accounts for the year 2015. The meeting started in the morning with chorus of national anthem rendered by artists of Bank Asia and all the shareholders stood and lend voice to the national anthem.
