Bangladeshi film festival in Kolkata

A four day long film festival of Bangladeshi films will begin in Kolkata from February 21.
The festival will be inaugurated by veteran film director Goutam Ghose. Bangladeshi filmmakers Morshedul Islam and Munira Morshed Chowdhury will also attend the inauguration as special guests. Federation of Film Societies and Nandan will jointly organise the festival.
Abu Sayeed’s Kirtankhola will open the festival on February 21. On the opening day Morshedul Islam’s “Anil Bagchir Ekdin”, will also be screened. On the second day Abu Shahed Emon’s Oscar nominated Jalaler Golpo and Amitabh Reza Chowdhury’s “Aynabaji” will be shown. On the third day Ahsan Kabir Liton’s “Prottaborton” and Morshedul Islam’s another film “Amar Bondhu Rashed” will be screened. On the last day Shabnam Ferdousi’s Liberation Movement centered documentary “Bhashajoyita”, Khondokar Sumon’s “Pounopounik” and Nurul Alam Atik’s “Doobsatar” will be screened. Tasmia Afrin Mou will be the second female participant in the festival as her latest film will also be screened before the last film screening on this day.
