Sports Reporter :
Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the third and last One Day International (ODI) match at the Harare Sports Club Ground in Zimbabwe tomorrow. The match will begin at 1.15pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live.
Zimbabwe have already clinched the ODI series 2-0.
Zimbabwe registered an easy five-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the first ODI at the same venue on August 5.
Zimbabwe recorded a massive five-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the second ODI at the same venue on August 7.
Before tomorrow’s match, Bangladesh faced Zimbabwe in 80 ODI matches. Of them, Bangladesh posted 50 victories, while Zimbabwe won 30 games.
After the two matches at the Harare Sports Club Ground, Captain of Bangladesh ODI team Tamim Iqbal said, “In the first match, batters of Bangladesh scored four half-centuries. But we failed to hit a century. In the second match, batters of Bangladesh scored two half-centuries. But we failed to strike a century.”
Tamim said, ” The difference between us and them was, they had two centuries, but we have none. Sikandar Raza played really well.”
Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Russell Domingo said, ” Zimbabwe did a fine job. They have done an outstanding performance. Specially Raza played two magnificent innings when he was under pressure. Our batters failed to score more twenty runs each in the first and second ODI matches. It was a tough task to defend this kind of score in the afternoon. However, I am not interested to give any lame excuse.”
Tamim also said, ” All credit goes to the cricketers of Zimbabwe. They played better brand of cricket than us in the last two matches.”
But Domingo said, ” My boys failed to bowl up to the mark when they were under pressure. They delivered loose deliveries and showed a worst fielding. They tried their best but they failed to take lessons from their mistakes. It was very frustrating. A good team will always take your weakness.”
Tamim is optimistic that his teammates will show their best in the last match. Tamim is also hopeful that his teammates will regain their performance.
