A two-member Bangladesh Wrestling team leaves the capital for China today (Thursday) to participate in the 11th Asian Wrestling Championship billed for July 11-13 there.
Leading wrestlers from 20 Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan and hosts China, are expected to compete in the three-day meet.
Bangladesh team comprises wrestler Billal Hossain and team manager FM Iqbal Bin Anwar. Billal will compete in lone event — 97 kg weight category.
Billal Hossain participated in the 10th Asian Wrestling Championship which was held in Kazakhstan last year and won bronze medal in the open category.
