Bangladesh Women’s Football team reached Nepal on Monday to play two warm-up football matches against Nepal Women’s Football team at Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal.
Bangladesh Women will take on Nepal Women in the first preparation match on September 9. Bangladesh will face Nepal in the second preparation match on September 12.
After playing two warm-up matches at Kathmandu, Bangladesh Women’s Football team will leave Nepal for Uzbekistan on September 14.
Bangladesh Women’s Football team will take part in the Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers in Uzbekistan. Bangladesh Women will face Jordan Women in the first match on September 19, while Bangladesh will meet Iran in the second match on September 22.
Before leaving Dhaka for Kathmandu, the Head Coach of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Golam Rabbani Choton said, ” The two opponents team of my girls are stronger than them. Jordan and Iran are very strong. They are in a better position according to the FIFA ranking. After ending the Women’s Football League, my girls are working hard. They are now in a good shape. I hope they will do something good in Uzbekistan.”
Captain of Bangladesh Women’s Football team Sabina Khatun said, ” Before reaching Uzbekistan, we shall understand our position after playing two preparation matches against Nepal.”
The final round of Women’s Asian Cup will be held in 2022. A total of eight groups of the Women’s Asian Cup qualifiers are getting underway. The champions of the each group, reigning champions, reigning runners-up, reigning third place achiever team and hosts India will compete in the final round of the Women’s Asian Cup.
