Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team to start campaign in Ireland today

Bangladesh Women’s Cricket Team will start their campaign in Ireland today (Monday) taking on Irish Women’s team in the first of the two-match T20 International at Bready Cricket Club ground in Magheramason, Londonderry.
The match will start at 3:30 pm Bangladesh Time.
Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team now in Ireland will play the remaining T20 match on Sept 6 and a two-match ODI series on Sept 8 and 10 against the Irish women’s, all at Bready Cricket Club ground in Magheramason, Londonderry at 3:30 pm.
Bangladesh played two ODI matches against Ireland and managed one win and conceded defeat in another match.
In their three meeting against Ireland in T20I, Bangladesh secured two wins and one defeat.
On the eve of departure last Friday, Bangladesh captain Jahanara Alam expressed her optimism to win the both the T20I and ODI series against the hosts Ireland.
“Our target is to win all the matches,” Jahanara said during the pre-tour press conference Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka last Tuesday.
“We had a tour to Ireland in 2012. We have become more experienced in the last four years, We are now upgraded, Our ultimate goal is to win the matches, but the Irish condition and cool weather is little bit challenging for us,” Jahanara added.
Jahanara also felt the absence of their experienced all-rounder Salma Khatun, who missed the tour for shoulder injury.
