Bangladesh women lose to South Africa in warm-up

Bangladesh Women’s team conceded an eight wickets defeat against South African Eves team in a warm-up match ahead of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 at BKSP ground in Savar on Friday.
Sent in to bat first, Bangladesh Eves team scored 85 for 8 in stipulated 20 overs.
Middle order Farzana Haque scored 31-ball 21 runs with a boundary while lower order Shaila Sharmin also made 21 runs off 20 balls with a boundary and opener Sanjida Islam scored 16-ball 10 runs including a boundary.
Besides, Rumana Ahmed (8), skipper Salma Khatun (6), Ayesha Rahman (5) and Sharmin Sultana (4) were other scorers for the home side.
S Ismail, D Van Nickerk, S Luus and MM Letsoalo and M Kepp took one wicket each.
In reply, South African Eves team easily reached their target making 88 runs for 2 in 15.3 overs with 27 balls remaining.
Opener L Lee contributed the match highest not out 50 runs off 45 balls featuring five fours and two sixes, D Van Nickerk scored run-a-ball 15 hitting three boundaries, M Du Preez made 15-ball 12 runs with one four while M Kepp scored not out 10 off 19 balls.
Rumana Ahamed and Khadiza Tul Kobra took one wicket each.
Bangladesh Eves team conceded a five-run defeat against Pakistan in the last warm-up match.
