The two-dayer practice match between Bangladesh and West Indies President’s XI ended in a draw on the second and final day at Antigua in West Indies on Saturday.
Electing to bat first, Bangladesh piled up a mammoth total of 403 in the first innings on the first day (Friday).
In reply, West Indies XI made 310 for the loss of eight wickets in their first innings before the bails were drawn for the second and final day (Saturday).
Shimron Hetmyer notched up the day’s highest of 123. His 138-ball innings was belted with 19 fours and one sixer.
Shamarh Brooks also shone with the willow. He made 72 from 152 balls featuring 12 fours.
Vishaul Singh hit a polished 45 from 83 balls including seven fours.
Romario Shepherd and Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored 26 (not out) and 24 runs respectively.
Abu Jayed and Shafiul Islam bagged a couple of wickets each at the cost of 39 and 48 runs respectively.
Mahmudullah Riyad, Mominul Haque, Rubel Hossain and Kamrul Islam Rabbi took one wicket each for 13, 22, 24 and 41 runs respectively.
Earlier, opener Tamim Iqbal hit a superb 125 in the first innings and Mahmudullah Riyad notched up a brilliant 102 on the first day (Friday).
Besides, Shakib Al Hasan hit a captain’s knock of 67.
Alzarri Joseph of West Indies was the most successful bowler in the practice match. He captured four wickets at the cost of 53 runs.
