A new organization has been formed in the name of ‘Bangladesh VAT Bar Association’ consisting the Value Added Tax (VAT) professionals. The association was formed as per decision adopted at a meeting held on September 1 this year.
The organization is being operated by a nine-member executive committee led by its President and General Secretary and its head office is located in Dhaka.
Advocate Dr Md Noorul Azhar has been elected President and VAT Conultant Md Hafijur Rahman elected General Secretary of the first executive committee of Bangladesh VAT Bar
Association that will work for next 3-year term, said a press release issued on Wednesday.
Chartered Accountant Md Mosttafa Shazzad Hasan and Advocate Md Shahidul Islam are Vice Presidents, Chartered Accountant Md Refaul Karim Chowdhury is Treasurer, VAT Agent Zahirul Quayyum is Joint Secretary and Chartered Accountant Zakir Hossain, FCGA Nazrul Islam and Chartered Secretary Sheikh Azizul Haque are the Executive Members of the new committee.
Meanwhile, those who became members of the VAT professionals’ organization, are prominent VAT Consultants, VAT Agents, Certified General Accountants, Chartered Accountants, Cost and Management Accountants, Chartered Secretaries, Certified IT Auditors, noted lawyers and others, also read the press release.
