Bangladesh Under-19 National Football team will leave for Tajikistan today to participate in the AFC Under-19 Championship 2018 Qualifiers scheduled to be held in Tajikistan from October 31 to November 8.
Bangladesh have been placed in Group-B. The other teams of Group-B are: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
Bangladesh will take on Tajikistan on October 31, face Maldives on November 2, meet Uzbekistan on November 6 and play against Sri Lanka on November 8.
Marking the upcoming football competition, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation House on Thursday.
Manager of Bangladesh Under-19 National Football team Md Amirul Islam Babu, General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Head Coach of Bangladesh Under-19 National Football team Mahbub Hossain Roxy, Goalkeeper of Bangladesh Under-19 National Football team Md Pappu Hossain were present at the conference.
Mahbub Hossain Roxy said, ” There are many promising footballers in Bangladesh Under-19 National Football team. We shall try to earn a good result in the football competition and then try to qualify for the final round.”
BD U-19 squad: Tutul Hossain Badsha, Saikat Mahmud, Monir Islam, Osai Mong Marma, Biplo Ahmed, Mahbubur Rahman, M Atikuzzaman, M Shadin, Isa Faysal, Jafar Iqbal, Riyadul Hasan, Rahim Uddin, Rahmat Mia, Pappu Hossain, Zahid Hasan, Mahfuz Hasan, Biswanath Ghosh, Anik Ghosh, Sohanur Rahman, Abu Shaeid, M Arifur Rahman, Monir Hossain and M Faisal Ahmed.
