Bangladesh Under-14 Girls’ football team reached home safely from earthquake-struck Himalayan nation of Nepal Sunday evening, by a special flight of Bangladesh Air Force. Bangladesh team was scheduled to play hosts Nepal in the final of the AFC Under-14 Girls’ Regional Championship at Dashrath Stadium on Saturday. The final of the AFC Under-14 Girls Regional Championship 2015 between Bangladesh and the Nepal was suspended due to the shocking destruction in host country Nepal, including the Dashrath Stadium by a heavy earthquake on Saturday. Both the AFC and the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) have checked on the safety and wellbeing of all the teams and match officials present in the Nepali capital. Plans are being made to repatriate those in Kathmandu as quickly as circumstances will allow.Bangladesh and hosts Nepal set up their final for later as they won their respective semi-final against IR Iran and India respectively by 2-0 and 1-0 goals at the same venue on Friday.
