Mokh Cup Football: Bangladesh U-13 team play 2-2 draw with Buriram United of Thailand

Bangladesh National Under-13 Team played to a 2-2 draw with Buriram United of Thailand in their first match of the Super Mokh Cup Football at the KLFA Training Center Turf in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday morning.
In the day’s hot morning, Bangladesh team were found well-organized and they started an attacking game from the very beginning and took its fruit very soon.
Rezwan put Bangladesh ahead in the 7th minute by a nice finishing, utilising a left side cross from Amit (1-0).
Buriram United tried to attack but Bangladeshi defence held them with fine skills but before the end of the first half Buriram United equalised the margin using a defence lapse (1-1).
In the early second half, Bangladesh team were not in an organised manner and Buriram United scored the 2nd goal to take 2-1 lead.
But Bangladesh team reorganised themselves during the last few minutes and Zihan scored the match equaliser just before the final whistle, capitalising on a Rizwan pass (2-2).
After the match, Bangladesh head coach SM Zakaria said, “The team couldn’t perform up to my expectation, but they could implement some of my lessons which made them look good during the whole match. We will play more organised match against Pohang Steelers (Korea) in the next match tomorrow Tuesday.”
Bangladesh team (starting eleven): Imon (GK), Jibon, Ridoy, Uttam, Raja, Fahim, Akkas, Atif, Rezwan, Zihan and Amit.
In the Under-12 competition, Bangladesh National Under-12 team lost to Seoul Shindap FC of South Korea by 1-2 at natural grass of May Bank Academy field in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Monday afternoon.
In the 50 minutes affairs, Bangladesh made a good start, but they started haphazardly after the conceding the first goal.
In the second half, Topu made the equaliser for Bangladesh U-12 team scoring a nice goal, off a Arafat pass (1-1) but they couldn’t hold Seoul Shindip FC till last minute .
Seoul Shindip scored in the last minute of the match from a penalty to take the 2-1 lead and the result was same till the last whistle.
After the match, the head coach of Bangladesh U-12 team, Mostofa Anower Pervez Babu said, “Our U-12 players are trying to habituate with the new condition, field and other things but we must have to play better than today in the tomorrows’ match against Malaysia Courgars at 12.10 pm.”
