Vice Chancellor of Chittagong University Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Uddin chowdhury said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina turned the country with the dreams of the father of the nation.She in fact turned the country hungry free Banglasesh . Vice chancellor was addressing the inaugural session of the Chittagong Development Fair as chief guest. District administraton arranged the fair at outer stadium in city . Among others, Police commissioner Abdul Jalil Mondol, Deputy commissioner of Chittagong Mesbahuddin also spoke on the occasion. Deputy commissioner presided the inaugural session of the fair.
A three-day long first ever “Development Fair-2015” aims at sharing all information about development activities kicks off in the city on Monday.  
Chittagong district administration is organizing the fair in front of Chittagong M A Aziz Stadium Gymnasium hall. Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chittagong Mezbah Uddin inaugurated the fair .
Besides, more 14 Development Fairs-2015 will be held at the head quarters of 14 upazils of Chittagong from October 1 next, Mezbah Uddin said.
Speaking at the inaugural session, chief guest said Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has advanced in many a field of socio economic arena which are the wonders of the world people.
He said the main purpose of the fair is to display various development activities of present government before the people.
“Nobody of the world thinks of Bangladesh as a country of storms, cyclones, drought, corruption and poverty any more. It has now become a model of development,” he added.
