Bangladesh take on Afghanistan today

Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan in their Group-E match of the FIFA World Cup (WC) qualifiers at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium in Doha, the capital city of Qatar today. The match kicks-off at 8.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). Private satellite sports channel T Sports will telecast the match live from the arena.
Earlier, Bangladesh lost to Afghanistan by a solitary goal in their abroad match. The match between the Red-and-Green outfit and Afghanistan was scheduled to take place in Dhaka. But due to corinavirus situation of the country the match will be held at Doha (neutral venue). If Bangladesh could host Afghanistan in their home ground the Red-and-Green outfit will get advantage.
Bangladesh will face their stronger neighbour India at Doha on June 7.
Bangladesh made a 1-1 draw with India at Kolkata, the former capital city of India in their abroad match. The Red-and-Green outfit had a 1-0 lead in the 88th minute of the play. However, Bangladesh had to left the field with one point against India as their fate did not favour them.
Bangladesh will meet Oman on June 15 at Doha.
Earlier, Bangladesh tasted a 4-1 defeat to Oman in their abroad match.
Bangladesh suffered a 2-0 goals defeat to Qatar at Dhaka in their home match.
Bangladesh lost to Qatar by five goals to nil at Doha in their abroad match.
Before taking part in the Group-E match against Afghanistan, the Red-and-Green outfit could not play any friendly match.
Bangladesh play a practice match against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited at the country’s prime venue Bangabandhu National Stadium on May 27. The match ended in a 2-2 draw.
