Bangladesh role model for development

Prime Minister’s Media Advisor and eminent journalist Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury said Bangladesh became a role model for development in the world. “Bangladesh marches towards a developed country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The development in the South-Western region is ongoing. Through the construction of the Padma Bridge, the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has set up an example of mega development across the country in last nine years,” he said.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the annual general meeting of Khulna Press Club (KPC) held recently at the journalist Liakat Ali Auditorium in Khulna.”Anti Liberation forces are still hatching conspiracy to destroy law and order situation, democracy and development”, he said.
Terming Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina mother of humanity in the world, he said, as a humanitarian country Bangladesh has given shelters to the Mayanmar peoples.
He urged journalists to write against drug, corruption, terrorism and militancy for building a modern and developed Bangladesh.
“Professional journalists have more responsibilities in this regard and we should work to root out militancy from the country,” Iqbal Sobhan added. He remember the contribution of eminent journalists Humayun Kabir Balu, and Manik Saha, former president of Khulna Press Club, in journalism profession and for making ‘Swadhinatar Roktosiri’, a terakota works of the history of 1952-1971 of Bangladesh.
