Bangladesh reach quarterfinal in 4th Asian Beach Games Men’s Basketball

Bangladesh reached the quarterfinal of the 4th Asian Beach Games Men’s Basketball with one match to spare after winning both of their Group A matches in span of only half an hour at the Karon Beach in Phuket on Sunday.
After the day’s matches, Bangladesh topped Group A list securing seven points from four matches. In the day’s first match, Bangladesh beat Turkmenistan by 10-7 points and assured the quarterfinal berth from group defeating Afghanistan by 13-10 points in the day’s 2nd match.
During the day’s first match, Bangladesh player Akash got knee injury and was hospitalized. Bangladesh, which finished 4th in the last version of games, will play Oman on Monday (Nov 17) in their remaining group matches to decide the group champions.
In the men’s beach volleyball, Bangladesh made a frustrating start losing to Oman by straight 21-13, 21-19 points at the Karon Beach on Sunday.
Bangladesh players failed to perform their usual show in a hot pitch of Karon Beach.
