bdnews24.com :The government says the poverty rate is declining while the average life expectancy rate is increasing in Bangladesh.At present the poverty rate is 24.7 percent, according to a 2014 estimate, Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told Parliament on Thursday.The rate was 31.5 percent in 2010, he said citing a Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics figure while replying to a question.Kamal said the average life expectancy in Bangladesh was 70.1 years in 2013, up from 69 years in 2011.
