Bangladesh piled up a mammoth total of 411 for the loss of 6 wickets in the first innings against New Zealand XI on the first day of the two-day practice match at Lincoln in New Zealand on Saturday.
Opener Shadman Islam notched up a sedate 67. His 113-ball innings was laced with nine fours.
Wicketkeeper-batsman Liton Das hit 62. His 91-ball knock was belted with six fours.
Mahmudullah Riyad hit a captain’s knock of 59. His 60-ball innings had eight fours and a six.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz made 51 from 67 balls featuring six fours and two sixes.
Opener Tamim Iqbal shone with the willow. He knocked a patient 45 off 83 balls, that saw five fours and a sixer.
Third-down Soumya Sarkar hit a polished 41. His 75-ball innings ornamented with six fours.
Tail-ender Abu Jayed also got success. He scored 23 from 26 balls including four fours.
Blake Coburn of New Zealand XI bagged a pair of wickets at the cost of 92 runs.
Jakob Bhula, Ed Nuttall, Ben Sears and Ben Lockrose took one wicket each for 31, 60, 77 and 104 runs respectively.
