The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) is going to arrange the FIFA international friendly matches between Bangladesh and Nepal dedicated to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangladesh and Nepal will play two friendly matches on November 13 and November 17.
President of the BFF Kazi Salahuddin disclosed this matter at a press conference in the BFF House on Sunday.
Salahuddin said, ” We planned to arrange four to five international events on the occasion of birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. But we could not do that due to coronavirus outbreak.”
He said, ” We want to return football in the ground to overcome the Coved-19. We have invited Nepal here to arrange two FIFA international friendly matches between Bangladesh and Nepal. The upcoming matches will be held after maintaining the health protocol of Bangladesh Government.
The BFF boss said, ” The booters were out of field around seven months. So, it is a tough task to regain the hundred percent fitness in a short time.”
He said, ” We went to Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday to watch the practise of booters of Bangladesh. The booers are taking part at the practice session wearing such kind of jerseys, which we could not get when we played international or domestic matches.”
Senior Vice-President of BFF Abdus Salam Murshedy, Vice-President of BFF Kazi Nabil Ahmed, Vice-President of BFF Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi, General Secretary of the Federation Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Member of BFF Mahfuza Akter Kiron were present at the conference, among others.
