Bangladesh National Women’s Football team leaves for Pakistan today

A 29-member Bangladesh National Women’s Football team will leave the city today for Pakistan to take part in the SAFF Women’s Football Championship scheduled to be held in Islamabad from November 11.
A total of eight teams splitting into two groups will take part in the first phase of the tournament. Hosts Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan will participate in the prestigious football meet for South Asian countries.
Before taking part in the gala football meet, a press conference was held at the conference room of Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House on Sunday.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Football Federation Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Deputy Chairperson of Women’s Wing of BFF Mahfuza Akhter Kiron, Head Coach of Bangladesh National Women’s Football team Tsukitate Norio, Captain of Bangladesh National Women’s Football team Suinu pru Marma were present at the conference, among others.
Kiron said, “The players of the team took part in a one month and five days long coaching camp under Japanese Head Coach Tsukitate Norio. I hope that our team will play in the final. I don’t want to predict about the result of my team. After the matches, the result will be decided. I did my best in the training session and gave cent percent effort and concentration. Please pray for us. I have some idea about our game plan but I want to keep it as secret.”
Suinu pru Marma said, “Our Target is to play in the final. We had some problem in finishing but we over came from that problem. We had also injury problem but now we have no problem.”
