Malaysian coach Rajiv Bin Ismail sincerely believes that host Bangladesh is favorite in the inaugural match against Bangladesh in the Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament at Sylhet Divisional Stadium.
“I think Bangladesh is favourites playing in front of the packed stadium”, said Malaysian coach talking to journalists at the local team hotel here today.
My team is a very young and we are actually preparing for AFC U-23 tournament.
We are really grateful to Bangladesh Football Federation for inviting us and it will be a good step for learning for our young booters.
Yes, we do not have any idea about Bangladesh team but I hope my boys are here to play good brand of soccer, so we too have intentions to play in semifinals.
We have played five matches before coming to Bangladesh. We lost to professional Iranian club side 5-0 but won one matches and drew three matches against superior Malaysian Club teams.
