World Cup Football Qualifiers: Bangladesh in Group-E

After defeating Laos in the first round of the World Cup Football Qualifiers 2022, Bangladesh have been placed in Group-E of the second round. The other teams of Group-E are: Afghanistan, India, Oman and hosts Qatar.
The draw ceremony of the second round was held at Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia on Wednesday afternoon.
Bangladesh defeated Laos in the pre-qualifiers and moved into the second round.
Head Coach of Bangladesh National Football team Jamie Day was waiting for the draw ceremony. Day will start his coaching camp for the national booters soon.
A total of 40 countries from Continent of Asia splitting into eight groups will take part in the second round of the World Cup Football Qualifiers. The Qualifiers will be held on home and away basis. Top one team of each group will play in the third round of the Qualifiers. Besides, the four best runners-up will also get tickets of the third round of the Qualifiers.
The second round of the World Cup Football Qualifiers will start from September 5.
Bangladesh took part in the World Cup Qualifiers of 2018 in Group-B. The teams of Group-B were: Australia, Jordan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Bangladesh. The Qualifiers were held on home and away basis. Bangladesh played eight matches. Bangladesh tasted seven defeats and earned a draw. Bangladesh conceded 32 goals, while scored just two goals.
But the present Bangladesh National Football team are better than that of the team of last Qualifying round. So, the soccer lovers of the country are expecting a good result from their team.
