Bangladesh Hockey team left the city on Monday for Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia to take part in the AHF Cup Hockey qualifiers. Bangladesh, hosts Indonesia, Oman, Singapore and Iran are in Group-B. The top five teams from the qualifiers will play in the Asian Games, while the best three teams will get tickets of the Asia Cup Hockey. Asia Cup Hockey is the most prestigious cricket competition of the Asia. Bangladesh will take on Indonesia on March 11, Bangladesh will play against Oman on March 14, Bangladesh will face Iran on March 15, Bangladesh will meet Singapore on March 17.
The AHF Cup Hockey qualifiers will start on March 11 and will come to an end on March 20.
Before competing in the hockey qualifiers, players of Bangladesh Hockey team took a good preparation under the Head Coach Malaysia-born Iman Gopinathan Krishnamurthy at the BKSP. Bangladesh are the defending champions of the hockey qualifiers.
