Bangladesh U-16 basketball team finished runners-up in the South Asian Basketball Association U-16 (Boys’) championship that concluded on Friday in the Nepalese capital of Kathmandu.
India emerged unbeaten champions after beating their rivals Bhutan in the last match of the championship. India won all their four matches to clinch the title while Bangladesh finished behind them with three wins out of four matches.
Besides, host Nepal placed in third position. Bangladesh lost their only match against India.
Earlier, Bangladesh beat Bhutan in their first match but lost to India in their second match.
However, Bangladesh fought back in their third group match beating host Nepal and finished the championship campaign with a massive victory over the Maldives.
