Despite winning in second half, Bangladesh Women Kabaddi team failed to overcome their first half deficit to go down fighting against favourites India by 29-18 points in Asian Games Kabaddi on Sunday at Songdo Giobal University here.
The reigning champions India were in no mood to take things lightly as they pressed hard to take a runaway 22-05 points leads before the short whistle. Bangladesh began the first half without lots of promise but as the game continued on Indian team looked imposing to take handsome 22-5 lead.
Bangladesh regrouped themselves and pulled their sock to put a brilliant display as they looked a far better than their rivals. Fatema Akhtar Polly was the pick of the Bangladesh players as she excelled while raiding which helped Bangladesh to earn number of points. Sharmeen and Shaheen Ara looked impressive in the Bangladesh defense.
