Bangladesh open team drew with Turkmenistan by 2-2 games points in 7th round match in open section of the 43rd World Chess Olympiad now being held at Sports Place in Batumi in Georgia.
GM Mollah Abdullah Al Rakib (Rating-2472) won against GM Atabayev Maksat (Rating-2505) of Turkmenistan, GM Ziaur Rahman (Rating-2477) drew with IM Atabayev Saparmyrat (Rating-2443), GM Enamul Hossain Razib (Rating-2452) drew with IM Atabayev Yusup (Rating-2411) and FM Mohammad Fahad Rahman (Rating-2263) lost to IM Nurmamedov Azat (Rating-2349) of Turkmenistan on Monday.
Bangladesh team earned 9 points out 7 matches in open section.
In 7th round match of women’s section, Bangladesh women’s team lost to Croatia by 1-3 game points. WFM Sharmin Sultana Shirin (Rating-1974) drew with WFM Ivekovic, Tihana (Rating-2114) and WFM Zakia Sultana (Rating-1838) drew with Ivekovic Ana (Rating-2118). WIM Shamima Akter Liza (Rating-2152) lost to Golubenko Valentina (Rating-2254) and WIM Rani Hamid lost to Cvitan Ena (Rating-2009) of Croatia on Monday.
Bangladesh woman’s team earned 7 points after 7th round matches.
