After three-day hotel quarantine, Bangladesh Cricket team took part in their practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Friday. Bangladesh team participated in the practice session marking the upcoming five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against New Zealand. Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan could not take part in the training session as his three-day hotel quarantine will come to an end today.
Players of Bangladesh team were scheduled to present at the field at 10.00am but all the cricketers were present at 9.30am. The players did running to warm-up for the main practice. Then they did fielding and were engaged in catch practice. After that, They took part in their skill practice with bat and ball which came to an end at 1.00pm.
Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in the first T20I on September 1, face the Kiwis in the second T20I on September 3, meet the visitors in the third T20I on September 5, play against the tourists in the fourth T20I on September 8, take on the touring side in the fifth T20I on September 10. All the matches will be held at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur. All the clashes will start at 4.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
The players, who took part in the yesterday’s practice session, were: Mahmudullah Riyad, Mushfiqur Rahim, Soumya Sarkar, Liton Das, Mosaddek Hossain, Afif Hossain, Mohammad Naim, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Shamim Hossain, Rubel Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Mohammad Saifuddin, Shoriful Islam, Taijul Islam, Mahedi Hasan, Aminul Islam Biplob and Nasum Ahmed.
