Bangladesh conceded a humiliating 4-0 defeat against defending champions Afghanistan in the seven-nation SAFF Suzuki Cup at Trivandrum International Stadium in Kerala, India on Thursday.
Upper-ranked Afghanistan dominated the first half by 3-0 goals.
Defender Masih Saighani put Afghanistan ahead in the 31st minute utilising a powerful curved corner kick pass of defender Hassan Amin, 1-0.
Skipper Faysal Shayesteh doubled the lead just after the next minutes, 2-0.
Midfielder Zubayr Amiri scored the third goal in the 41st minutes by a placing shot from the top of the six yard box, 3-0.
Substitute forward Khaibar Amani extended the margin scoring the 4th goal in the 67th minutes, 4-0.
Khaibar Amani succeeded by his second attempt as the first attempt was blocked by Bangladesh goalie Sahidul Alam.
