The visiting Bangladesh Football team beat Kyrgyzstan Under-23 by a solitary goal in the opening match of the Three Nations Cup at Dashrath Rangashala Stadium in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal on Tuesday.
The all important goal was scored in the first half.
Bangladesh took the lead by an own goal of Kyrgyz in the 30th minute of the play. Saad Uddin of Bangladesh advanced with the ball and entered the D-box of Kyrgyzstan. Then he crossed the ball but Kyrgyz defender Kumarbaj put the ball into
the net when he tried to clear.
In the 18th minute, Bangladesh were deprived of another goal when Sohel Rana’s shot touched the hand of Kyrgyz defender in the danger zone. But the referee overlooked the matter. Thus Bangladesh were deprived of a penalty shot.
After conceding the goal, Kyrgyzstan got an opportunity. But Kyrgyz booter Tamir’s volley was saved by Bangladesh custodian Anisur Rahman in the 42nd minute of the match.
Habibur Rahman’s spectacular volley was fisted by Kyrgyz goalie in the 13th minute. With this Bangladesh left the field with a lone-goal victory.
