Bangladesh U-12 National Football Team made good start in the Asian Youth U-12 Football Fiesta beating Ansan Junior FC of hosts South Korea by 1-0 goal in their first match on Saturday.
Meraj scored the match winning goal for Bangladesh in the 8th minute at the Anseong Sports Complex, Anseong City, Gyeonggi-do in South Korea Saturday morning.
Bangladesh boys played a good match against their Korean rivals, but Rasadul, Opi and Mehadi missed some easy chances.
First Secretary of Bangladesh Embassy in South Korea Zahidul Islam Bhuiyan and Consul of Bangladesh Embassy Khandoker Masudul Alam witnessed the day’s first match.
In the day’s 2nd match, Bangladesh Team drew goalless with INFC Ansan Junior team at the same venue.
Bangladesh coach and team manager expressed their satisfaction over the day’s matches.
In the day’s other matches, Afghanistan U-12 National Football Team played to a goalless draw with Training Center of Timor Leste, Training Center of Timor Leste outplayed Ansan Junior 4-0 while Afghanistan beat INFC Ansan Junior 1-0,
Sunday’s matches: Bangladesh U-12 Vs Afghanistan U-12 National Football Team at 9.45 am while Bangladesh U-12 Vs Training Center of Timor Leste U-12 at 12.00PM.
Fifteen Asian countries, split in two groups, will participate in a six-a-side
30-minute competition
The 15 participating nations are– Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, East Timor, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Palestine, Pakistan, Thailand, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and South Korea.
